{Jackson ~ 7 days old} – Asheville Newborn Photographer

Jackson – a dream baby [ and a miracle baby from what I hear]. I cannot say enough good things about Jack.. he was perfect from his peachy, smooth skin – to his lovely, sleepy self. He came in with eyes wide open & my assistant put him to sleep within 5 minutes and he slept the entire hour and a half that he was here. Not only that, but he left me with no dirty laundry.. wow! Never had that happen! I adored his lips and his smiles. His smiles almost turned into giggles, it looked like he was having really funny dreams[probably laughing at me: )].  This family LOVES the beach and brought in some shells/starfish props & we got some really fun & neutral “beach” images.  Tim & Laurel, thank you for bringing your little miracle him, please bring him back to visit soon!!

{Oliver ~ 9 days fresh} – North Carolina Newborn Photographer

Oh, little Oliver! One of the tiniest babies that has been in the studio & he was just wonderful! He liked to be awake and while he was awake, he made incredible eye contact. I could tell he was trying to figure out what in the world was right in his face [my camera]. He really didn’t seem to care, let us pose & reposition him as many times as we wanted. I was thrilled to be able to use a bowl[second to last picture] that I purchased while I was in Africa this past summer, it is teeny tiny so I thought if ever a baby was going to fit into it, it would be him. I wish I could show just how little the bowl is – he fit in it like it was custom made for him!

Thank you, Eli & Jaime for bringing him in… he is beautiful!

Halloween Mini Session…

coming soon!

{Amelia~5 days fresh} – Asheville Newborn Photographer

Little Miss Amelia came in on her 5th day of her life.  I couldn’t be happier that her mom & dad, Craig & Erin brought her in while she was still so teeny, tiny.  This session was so fast & easy (special thanks to my  *wonderful* assistant, Beverly!) & I LOVED looking over and seeing Amelia’s mommy getting a little nap in.  I know it is quite an adjustment on these little one’s parents having not so much sleep, so when I can help them get caught up on some zzzzz’s – it makes me feel good to know they will leave a little refreshed.  I am waiting for 2 newborns to be born this week & I can’t wait to meet Jack &  Oliver[update :Oliver has arrived!] – have I mentioned that I LOVE my job??

{Henry-6 days fresh} – Asheville Newborn Photographer

LOVED this blanket that was made by Cassandra’s [Henry's mom] sorority sister. [yes, I have ordered one for the studio]

Couldn’t resist posting this one, his legs & arms got positioned so cute & then he smiled.

Welcome to the world Mr. Henry Lee.  You’ve been here only 6 days and you stole my heart as soon as I saw your tiny self.  *sigh*  I anticipated today’s session so much due to the fact that I have taken some time off while our family traveled all over the place and transitioned into a new job.  It has been a wild & crazy summer full of fun & memories – so thankful we still have time left to make some more.  I have missed my studio and all the passion that awakens in me when I am in there for a session.  It felt great to be back doing what I was born to do : ).  Henry was a squishy, bendable & ultra sleepy baby which made things super easy for me [not so much for his daddy, whom Henry christened quite well with #1 & #2 while he was doing his ONE shot with him.]  I secretly love when the babies take their daddy’s by surprise — priceless moments.  Henry’s mom & dad were so adorable and so in love – what a great home/family for this little one to grow up in.

Will be back in the studio tomorrow shooting a commercial shoot for Sears & GoMini’s – pretty cool gig.  Fall sessions are filling already and the last day I will shoot this year is November 12.. so start thinking about Christmas shots and go ahead and call  to get your Christmas session scheduled.  It will be here fast!
