I feel like I just do a newborn shoot and all too soon I am doing that same newborn's 1st year "cake smash" portraits. {Jackson ~ 7 days old} – Asheville Newborn Photographer

Jackson – a dream baby [ and a miracle baby from what I hear]. I cannot say enough good things about Jack.. he was perfect from his peachy, smooth skin – to his lovely, sleepy self. He came in with eyes wide open & my assistant put him to sleep within 5 minutes and he slept the entire hour and a half that he was here. Not only that, but he left me with no dirty laundry.. wow! Never had that happen! I adored his lips and his smiles. His smiles almost turned into giggles, it looked like he was having really funny dreams[probably laughing at me: )].  This family LOVES the beach and brought in some shells/starfish props & we got some really fun & neutral “beach” images.  Tim & Laurel, thank you for bringing your little miracle him, please bring him back to visit soon!!

{Leyton & Ashley} – Asheville Baby Photographer

This little boy is IN LOVE big time… with his mommy.  Never have I seen a baby that only has eyes for his mommy like he does & my heart melted every time they interacted, nothing sweeter.  I would try & try to get Leyton’s attention and he always would look right past me to his mom, one of the most precious things I have seen with a parent/baby connection.   This little “fox” stole my heart, I tried to get Ashley to let him stay here, but nope! didn’t work out. : )  Ashley, you are the BEST mom -  I loved meeting you.  Thank you for bringing Leyton in!

{Oliver ~ 9 days fresh} – North Carolina Newborn Photographer

Oh, little Oliver! One of the tiniest babies that has been in the studio & he was just wonderful! He liked to be awake and while he was awake, he made incredible eye contact. I could tell he was trying to figure out what in the world was right in his face [my camera]. He really didn’t seem to care, let us pose & reposition him as many times as we wanted. I was thrilled to be able to use a bowl[second to last picture] that I purchased while I was in Africa this past summer, it is teeny tiny so I thought if ever a baby was going to fit into it, it would be him. I wish I could show just how little the bowl is – he fit in it like it was custom made for him!

Thank you, Eli & Jaime for bringing him in… he is beautiful!

Beverly Parrish - The “bowl” picture is phenomenal! I was trying to describe how small it is to Dwight…easily no more than 12-13 inches…. So precious! The “awake” shot is gorgeous, too. Good work, boss! ;)

{Owen ~ Cake Smash} – Asheville Children’s Photographer

Happy Birthday, Owen! This little man is SMART! I think he had me figured out from the first moment of eye contact – he knew I was the photographer and I was going to want him to sit still! : ) His mom & dad [Kyle & Lori] were dancing around and doing whatever they could to distract him so that he didn’t realize he was sitting still! It worked and we got some {priceless} images of his cuteness & fun personality. He had a super fun & colorful cake from Artista Cakes, it even came with a little tray for the crumbs… PURE GENIUS! Thanks, Serena.
